Description
Summary:Svalbard reindeer are marked with GPS-collars in [Brøggerhalvøya](http://stadnamn.npolar.no/stadnamn/Br%C3%B8ggerhalv%C3%B8ya?lang=en) and surroundings as part of the annual monitoring of the Svalbard reindeer in the area (run by NPI; RIS 2372).We plan to individually mark up to 30 females and up to 60 calves in 2014/15. Each collar obtain a position three times per 24 h. The main objective is to investigate Svalbard reindeer habitat use and to obtain data from a location along the West coast (comparative purposes with RIS 5974 and 6697) where reindeer dynamics are driven by "rain-on-snow-events".
