Summary: | Numerical experiments are carried out with a fully coupled global climate model (Community Earth System Model version 1.2; CESM1.2). The model grid is f09_gx1v6. We reproduced two experiments with higher resolutions to study thewarming mechanisms in Antarctica. They are control run (CTRL; CO2 concentration remains 285 ppm), and albedo perturbation run (0.1A; sea-ice albedo is set to 0.1 of its original value and no change in CO2). They all start from a climate equilibrium state (B1850) and integrate over 400 model years. We focus on the equilibrium responsesusing the monthly averaged fields over the last 100 years of integration, unless otherwise stated. |
