Description
Summary:Numerical experiments are carried out with a fully coupled global climate model (Community Earth System Model version 1.2; CESM1.2). The model grid is f09_gx1v6. We reproduced two experiments with higher resolutions to study the warming mechanisms in Antarctica. They are control run (CTRL; CO2 concentration remains 285 ppm), and albedo perturbation run (0.1A; sea-ice albedo is set to 0.1 of its original value and no change in CO2). They all start from a climate equilibrium state (B1850) and integrate over 400 model years. We focus on the equilibrium responses using the monthly averaged fields over the last 100 years of integration, unless otherwise stated.
