Description
Summary:It is shown, that the North Atlantic oscillation corresponds to the difference between the values of the near-surface air temperature calculated on the basis of the regression model with insolation contrast as a predictor and the actual long-term changes in the near-surface air temperature. This proves the gravitational nature of the North Atlantic Oscillation. It is also shown, that the periodicity of the North Atlantic Oscillation can be the result of synchronization and resonant amplification of the 60-year periodicity generated in the space surrounding the Earth by the comparability in the average motions of the giant planets: Jupiter and Saturn.
