Description
Summary:The python scripts included in this archive are to be used to estimate the threshold of light triggering the vertical migration of zooplankton in the water column from the radiation station data and to calculate under-ice light at a pan-Arctic scale from future predictionsmodels and scenarios as well as to estimate the day when the threshold is met atdepth of interest and the shiftin the future between two decades. Basic datasets for the threshold estimationare provided but not the CMIP6 data which is available from https://esgf-node.llnl.gov/projects/cmip6/ . The resulting plots and analytical results were presented in the publication"Sea-ice decline could keep zooplankton deeper for longer" by H. Flores, G. Veyssière et al, published in Nature Climate Change (2023).
