Caterpillars of the nearest species L. brephoides (Walker, 1857) feed on Betula , Alnus , Populus and Salix (Beljaev 2016). Genetic note. There were not available material for DNA barcoding from the Baikal region, however, I have obtained the sequence from Altaian specimen (see “Material examined”). It differs from COI of L. brephoides (inhabits the boreal zone of North America) by 3.2–3.4%. ...
