Summary:National sovereignty is a fundamental principle that Atatürk advocated during the War of Independence, stating, "Sovereignty belongs unquestionably to the nation," and in this sense, the nation governs itself according to its own will. This national sovereignty was won through independence struggle and sacrifice during the Turkish War of Independence. Before and after the proclamation of the Turkish Republic, this conflict was depicted through a variety of subjects in Turkish plastic arts, and documentary examples of its history were presented. Thus, in the works presented by the artists from the perspective of the Turkish national sovereignty war, all the sacrifices made for the survival of the Turkish nation were interpreted in the form of a "War of Independence" photo album or panorama. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the period of national struggle influenced Turkish plastic arts following the proclamation of national sovereignty and the republic. The importance of research; is to emphasize the awareness that the defense throughout the country, which provides the freedom and Republic to the Turkish Nation, is realized by the national will of the civilian people in the context of Turkish plastic arts. The problem statement asks, "What are the concrete equivalents and projections of the patriotic spirit, which sustains the existence of the history of National Sovereignty and the Republic to the present, in plastic arts?" The research was conducted using the qualitative research method, a literature review was conducted to obtain the data, and the plastic artworks created in Turkey during this time period were analyzed and synthesized. The research was limited to the works produced before and after the proclamation of the Republic belonging to the main art branch of Turkish painting, and a conclusion was reached.
