Two Atlantic species, G. adscensionis (Osbeck, 1765) (see Linnaeus, 1758: 630 pro parte– only material from “Insula Adscensionis”) from the eastern Atlantic and central Atlantic (Ascension and St. Helena) (Manning & Chace, 1990) and G. grapsus (see below).
