Description
Summary:This report is a compilation of ocean environment parameters today collected through the Eco-Coast and Ocean Acidification programs and correspondingly available information from the Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service (CMEMS). CMEMS facilitates Thematic Assembly Centres -TAC- delivering products based on in situ and satellite observations and geographically defined (global to regional) Monitoring and Forecasting Centres -MFC- utilizing ocean models to provide ocean environmental products. Norwegian institutions have the responsibility for the Arctic MFC, leading both the in situ and sea ice TACs, with the Nansen Center, Meteorological Institute and the Institute of Marine Research as key actors.
