DISTRIBUTION: Alaska (USA), throughout Canada (south of tundra); including Vancouver Isl, W USA in mountain states; NE USA, south to NW South Carolina. STATUS: U.S. ESA and IUCN - Endangered as T. h. grahamensis. SYNONYMS: abieticola (A. Howell, 1929); baileyi (J. Allen, 1898); columbianus A. Howell, 1936; dakotensis (J.
