Summary:Falco peregrinus Tunstall, 1771 LITERATURE. — Green & Sayer (1979); Thonnérieux et al. (1989); Dowsett (1993); Balanca & de Visscher (1997); Weesie & Belemsobgo (1997); Borrow & Demey (2001, 2014); Portier (2002c); Thiollay (2006a); Balanca et al. (2007); Sinclair & Ryan (2010); Dowsett et al. (2013). FIELD DATA. — eBird; GBIF. STATUS. — Two subspecies are present: F. p. calidus Latham, 1790, Palaearctic migrant and F. p. minor Bonaparte, 1850, Resident; Breeding. REMARK. — The recent records are only from the the Bängr-Weoogo Park of Ouagadugou. Reported as Breeding resident only in southeast of the country by Borrow & Demey (2014) with the subspecies F. p. minor Bonaparte, 1850. The presence and status of this species in Burkina Faso need further assessment, particularly about the real occurrence of the various subspecies claimed in the literature: F. p. calidus Latham, 1790, F. p. peregrinus Tunstall, 1771 and F. p. pelegrinoides Temminck, 1829.
