Loc.: “Westküste von Neu-Guinea” [Irian Jaya, Indonesia]. Leg.: S. Müller and H.C. Macklot. Remarks. Brongersma (1953: 573) restricted the type locality to “Lobo district, Triton Bay, Dutch New Guinea ”. Though the publication date on the first page of Schlegel’s Abbildungen is 1837-1844, the work was issued in parts. See Stejneger’s Herpetology of Japan (1907: 540) for the publication dates.
