Y205, 38° 26 ʹN, 121 ° 34 ʹE, 54m, 26 Jul 1957. Distribution. Yellow Sea, Okhotsk Sea, Sakhalin, Kurile Island, 54– 300m. Remarks. This subspecies is recognized by its sturdy body form (Fig. 4 A). Arms are short and swollen, constricted at base; abactinal skeletons (Fig. 4 E) form a wide meshwork with large and sunken papular area; 3 to 8 small and sharp spinelets are generally arranged in comb-shape (Fig. 4 C) along the ridge surrounding papular areas. Specimens examined exactly agree with the description of Henricia aspera robusta by Chang et al. (1964).
