Chukotka, Chaun Bay [68o44’N, 170o36’E], ix.1975, S.F. MacLean (CNC 165128, Type No.20109). Listed as Dimorphaphorura alna by Bellinger et al. (1996–2015) but also as Dimorphaphorura alnus by Weiner & Kaprus’ (2014: 6) and as Micraphorura alnus by Babenko & Fjellberg (2015: 57). The original specific name of the species was alnus [after Alnus (=alder)], which as a likely noun in apposition, should not change spelling when recombined to a genus of a different gender.
