The present specimens extend the known bathymetric range and the geographic range westwards to southeastern Australia. The Australian specimen (NMV J72625) is the largest recorded of the species. The gonopods of the juvenile male (NIwA 31725) are incompletely developed; both are elongated but gonopod 2 is as yet separate from, rather than enclosed by gonopod 1. Distribution . Northern New Zealand from seamounts in the Bay of Plenty, westwards to the Challenger Plateau; for the first time from eastern Australia; 914–1336 m.
