Description
Summary:Chorismus tuberculatus Spence Bate, 1888 Known from scattered locations throughout the sub-Antarctic AOI: Marion Island (Spence Bate 1888; Ledoyer 1979); Kerguelen Islands (Ledoyer 1979); Falkland Islands (Thatje & Bacardit 2000a); Argentina and South Georgia, between 45°59'S and 54°10'S, benthic, 400–540 m (Boschi et al. 1981, 1992), although possibly extensively confused with the preceding species. For example, the Chorismus antarcticus specimen from Marion or Prince Edwards Islands illustrated by Branch et al. (1991) is definitely C. tuberculatus . A genetic and morphological comparison of both species across their range would be desirable.
