Summary: | Nematocarcinus sigmoideus Macpherson, 1984 Widely distributed in the temperate waters of the southern hemisphere down to 1500 m, and reaching the sub- Antarctic AOI at Marion Island (Komai & Komatsu 2016). Komai & Komatsu (2016) also postulate that the majority of sub-Antarctic records of Nematocarcinus are based on N. sigmoideus; however this requires further confirmation.
