Description
Summary:Drapetis completa Kovalev (Fig. 5A) Material examined. SWEDEN. Skåne: Åbrolla, Osby (56°26′N 14°08′E), 142 m (74 ♂, NHMD; 4 ♂, RBINS). Collected in all years (2014–2018) from June 16 to August 22. Distribution. A Central and Eastern European species described by Kovalev (1972) from NW Russia, by far the most common species in Åbrolla, on several occasions observed and collected in numbers on sunlit trunks of spruce and birch. Chvála (1975) did not include the species in his revision of Scandinavian Drapetis , but it was recorded from Norway by Jonassen (2009) and from northern Sweden by Hellqvist (2013). A distribution map (http://artfakta. artdatabanken.se) shows recent finds of D. completa from several provinces in Sweden, but the present record is seemingly the first from the province of Skåne. The species is not yet recorded from Finland (Kahanpää 2014). Published as part of Michelsen, Verner & Grootaert, Patrick, 2019, Co-existing species of Drapetis Meigen in Skåne (S Sweden) with description of a new species and a key to males of NW European species (Diptera: Hybotidae), pp. 431-441 in Zootaxa 4624 (3) on page 435, DOI:10.11646/zootaxa.4624.3.11, http://zenodo.org/record/3264492
