Summary:Ilyophis blachei Saldanha & Merrett 1982 (Fig. 4 A) Material examined. Two specimens 595.0–641.0 mm TL: MNRJ 26827 (2, 595.0–641.0 mm), T, E- 528. Distribution. Ilyophis blachei was described from the western North Atlantic (51 º04’N, 11 º 59 ’W), and is known from the Rio Grande Rise in the WSA, temperate Indian Ocean, the eastern Atlantic from southern Africa and Europe, but is absent from the Equatorial region.
