Summary: | Munidopsis similis Smith, 1885 Munidopsis similis has been reported from the North Atlantic Ocean from a depth of 1940 m (Smith 1885, 1886). Three non-ovigerous females (CW from 8.7 to 10.9 mm), one ovigerous female, and three males (CW from 7.0 to 10.2 mm) were available. These specimens were from the Gulf of Mexico and the western Atlantic in depths of 1475 to 2438 m and were collected in August and September (Fig. 13 H). These collections represent a range extension for this species.
