Summary:Chaenopsis alepidota (Gilbert, 1890). Orangethroat Pikeblenny. To 15.2 cm (6 in) TL (Miller and Lea 1972). Pelican Harbor, Santa Cruz Island, southern California (Kushner et al. 2001) to Gulf of California (Thomson et al. 1979). The only known mainland population in southern California is in King Harbor, southern California (Stephens et al. 1989). A record from Point Sur, central California (Love and Passarelli 2020) is in error.
