Western Aleutian Islands (Mecklenburg et al. 2002) to Diablo Cove, central California (Miller and Lea 1972). Benthic; depth: intertidal to 8 m (25 ft) (Eschmeyer and Herald 1983). We also note that there is a much deeper record of 1,372 m (4,500 ft) from the DFO database. However, this record is without documentation.
