Sea of Okhotsk and Tatar Strait, Sea of Japan (Mecklenburg et al. 2011) to Chukchi Sea as far north as 70°54’N, 164°34’W (Mecklenburg et al. 2011), and eastern Beaufort Sea as far east as 71°36’N, 155°02’W (Personal communication: University of Alaska Fairbanks Fish Collection, Fairbanks, Alaska), and eastern Bering Sea at Saint Matthew Island (60°39’N, 172°43’W) (Maslenikov et al. 2013). Benthic; depth: 7–90 m (23–295 ft), or perhaps to 320 m (1,050 ft) (Mecklenburg et al. 2016).
