Summary:Radulinus asprellus Gilbert, 1890. Slim Sculpin . To 15.2 cm (6 in) TL (Clemens and Wilby 1961). The DFO database lists a number of specimens much larger than 15.2 cm (e.g., 23 cm, 9.1 in, 20 cm, 7.9 in, and 19 cm, 7.5 in). Maria Cornthwaite reports that all of these fish were caught in a single tow in Hecate Strait on 28 May 2009. Although this is a poorly understood species, and these lengths may be correct, without any voucher specimens we are hesitant to accept these records. Pribilof Islands (56°40’N, 171°59’W), and Aleutian Islands off Amchitka Island (Maslenikov et al. 2013) to Islas Coronados, northern Baja California (Bolin 1944). Benthic; depth: 9–699 m (30–2,293 ft) (min.: Levings 1973; max.: NWFSC-FRAM).
