Summary:Clinocottus analis (Girard, 1858). Woolly Sculpin. To 17.8 cm (7 in) TL (Miller and Lea 1972). Cape Mendocino, northern California (Eschmeyer and Herald 1983) to Punta Abreojos, southern Baja California (Ruiz-Campos et al. 2010b) and Isla de Cedros, central Baja California (Personal communication: Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History Fish Collection, Los Angeles, California). Benthic; depth: intertidal to 18 m (60 ft) (Miller and Lea 1972). This species is likely not in the genus Clinocottus (Knope 2013). Clinocottus (Clinocottus) analis (Buser and López 2015).
