Indo-Pacific; western Pacific Ocean north to Yonaguni-jima Island, Japan (Koeda et al. 2016); tip of Baja California (Robertson and Allen 2015), and Costa Rica (Sánchez-Jiménez et al. 2018) to Ecuador (Robertson and Allen 2015).
