Isla Guadalupe, central Baja California and southern tip of Baja California (McCosker and Rosenblatt in Fischer et al. 1995) to Panama (Robertson and Allen 2002), including Islas Galápagos (Grove and Lavenberg 1997) and Isla del Cocos (Robertson and Allen 2002). Benthic; depth: 10–85 m (33–279 ft) (min.: Robertson and Allen 2002; max.: McCosker and Rosenblatt in Fischer et al. 1995).
