Korea–Sakhalin Exp. 1900–1901: 229 Current status: Cleisthenes herzensteini (Schmidt, 1904) (Hubbs, 1915: 472) Syntypes: ZIN 12361 (2) Sea of Japan, Paris Bay near Vladivostok, 05.05.1900, collector P.Yu.Schmidt; ZIN 12362 (1) west coast of Sakhalin Island, Maoka [Kholmsk], 01.06.1901, collector P.Yu.Schmidt; ZIN 12363 (3) Sea of Japan, Gensan [Wonsan], June 1900, collector P.Yu.Schmidt; ZIN 12364 (1) Sea of Japan, near Khalesov Island [38 o 59′N, 128 o 05′E], station 80, trawl, 55–63 m, 10.06.1900, collector P.Yu.Schmidt; ZIN 12365 (1) Sea of Japan, near Khalesov Island [38 o 59′N, 128 o 05′E], station 79, trawl, 55–60 m, 10.06.1900, collector P.Yu.Schmidt. Remarks: one specimen ZIN 12363 was sent to the BMNH (apparently BMNH 19294.15.2). The largest and best syntype ZIN 12362 can be designated as lectotype in future revisions.
