Summary:42. Lacinipolia olivacea (Morrison) Olive Arches (Figs. 77–79, Map 43) Identification: Forewing length 11–12 mm. Overall forewing color is black and white. The basal area is black and white mixed with tawny to olive green scales. Antemedial line is obscure, black, and tends to blend into the median area. Median area is black with scattered areas of tawny to olive green scales. Orbicular spot is gray margined with a few white scales and bordered proximally and distally with black. Reniform spot is white with tawny to greenish gray center and bordered with black. Distal area is white with a few scattered black scales and irregular areas of tawny to olive green scales. Hindwing is gray being lighter basally with a faint discal spot in some specimens. There is some variation in the forewing coloration with the white basal and distal areas being dark gray. In specimens with a dark gray distal area the subterminal line is white and somewhat sinuate. Flight period: Mid-July to early September.
