Description
Summary:This release includes the main following modifications: Changes to allow using forcing time series collected during the Norwegian Young Sea Ice Expedition (N-ICE2015) (Granskog et al., 2018) and described in Duarte et al. (2017) (see Fig. 2 of the cited authors). These modifications were meant to allow reading of forcing data at higher frequencies than possible with the standard input subroutines in the CICE file ice_forcing.F90. Added the possibility of writing limiting factor files. Added more arguments (kdyn, uocn and vocn) to the call to icepack_step_therm1 to make it possible calculating sea-ice bottom drag even when ice dynamics is not being calculated by CICE and to calculate bottom diffusion of heat and nutrients as a function of shear. Modified files: ice_forcing.F90, ice_read_write.F90, CICE_InitMod.F90, ice_step_mod.F90, ice_init.F90, ice_file_units.F90, ice_init_column.F90, ice_in Pedro Duarte made the changes in the files listed above in the Description of this release in the Icepack software developed by the CICE consortium: https://github.com/CICE-Consortium.
