Summary: | Saxifraga oppositifolia Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 402. 1753. "Habitat in rupibus Alpium Spitzbergensium, Lapponicarum, Pyrenaicarum, Helveticarum." RCN: 3156. Lectotype (Webb in Bot. J. Linn. Soc. 95: 263. 1987): Herb. Linn. No. 575.32, upper specimen (LINN). Current name: Saxifraga oppositifolia L. (Saxifragaceae). Note: Siplivinsky (in Novosti Sist. Vyssh. Rast. 9: 188. 1972) indicated unspecified material in LINN as “typus”. However, this did not distinguish between sheets 575.32-575.35, and as they are not part of a single gathering, Art. 9.15 does not apply.
