Distribution Heard Island, 274 m (Stebbing 1888). Remarks Actinacanthus tricarinatus has been recorded only once since its original description, by Hibbert & Moore (2009, as ‘ Amphipoda spl (Cru74)’) in the same area as the type material, the archipelago of the Heard and McDonald Islands. The species is currently considered as endemic to the Kerguelen Plateau.
