Summary:Negaprion brevirostris (Poey, 1868) Occurrence: native Maximum length: 340 cm TL Water type: marine, brackish Environment: reef associated Depth range: 0-92 m Migration: oceanodromous IUCN status: VU – Vulnerable (A2bcd / 2021) Source: observation Distribution and remarks: Northeast Atlantic: known from Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire and probably wide-ranging off West Africa. Observed at Mayumba and Port-Gentil with juveniles and adults near the coast between Olende and Cap Lopez. Adults were caught in Olende mouth by sport fishermen (De Bruyne, pers. obs.).
