Remarks: Chains of this species were not observed, and specimens encountered were probably deposited on the sediment from its natural epiphytic habitat. Ecology and distribution: Widely distributed in and around Antarctica, mostly as an epiphyte (Majewska and De Stefano 2015). Rare in Potter Cove.
