Typification notes Moore (1961) cited the type of the name Myosotis pygmaea as ‘W, 4743, W. Colenso’, which is treated here as effective lectotypification. (Note that W was the old herbarium code for what is now WELT.) One other Colenso specimen of M. pygmaea also matches the type citation (WELT SP004744!) and may be original material; however, because it has a different collection date, it is excluded from the lectotype.
