Orthodox missionaries were forced to seek and find extraordinary solutions for the successful spread of Christian doctrine. The construction of Orthodox churches and chapels contributed to this process. A significant role in the spread of the Orthodox faith in the Far North-East was played by the activities of the Yakut Spassky Monastery during this period. Процесс христианизации коренных народов Крайнего Северо-Востока России в XVII - начале XIX вв. проходил в условиях суровой северной природы, среди прочно укоренившихся языческих представлений о мироздании. Православные миссионеры вынуждены были искать и находить неординарные решения для успешного распространения христианского вероучения. Способствовало этому процессу строительство православных храмов и часовен. Существенную роль в распространении Православной веры на Крайнем Северо-Востоке сыграла в указанный период деятельность Якутского Спасского монастыря.
