Diagnosis Acroporidae that are cuneiform, encrusting or ramose with multiple axial or leading corallites, or a main axial plus supplementary axials at the tips of some branches and numerous radial corallites; coenosteum a dense arrangement of meandroid elaborated spinules; columella and dissepiments absent (Wallace et al ., 2007). Ocurrence Early Miocene (this paper) to Recent (Wallace et al ., 2012).
