Coenosia ukokensis was described from Altai Mts and is similar morphologically to the northern Coenosia oralis Schnabl, 1915. The Altai specimens of Coenosia ukokensis have all tibiae brownish-yellow, darkened in apical 2/3–4/5 (Figs 7 H, I), unlike yellow tibiae of Coenosia oralis . Males of Coenosia ukokensis collected in the Magadan region have all tibiae yellow (Figs 8 E, F) which makes it difficult to distinguish these two species. To correctly identify them, it is necessary to study the male terminalia. Distribution. Palaearctic: Russia (Siberia, NFE).
