Summary: | This esm_tools (Barbi et al., 2021; Gierz et al., 2021) version enables running the Alfred Wegener Institute Earth System Model with the interactive iceberg model. It includes necessary config files. Furthermore, it includes Python functions for deriving discrete icebergs (dimensions, coordinates, scalings) from ice sheet model output according to a prescribed size distribution (`icb_apply_distribution_functions.py` and `icb_helper.py` under `src/esm_runscripts/`). It contains a short manual on how to use the iceberg component within the framework of esm_tools. |
