Description
Summary:Collection consists of digitized sound recordings made by or preserved by Michael Polsuns, related to his collaborative work with George Manuel as well as his work with the National Indian Brotherhood, the publication Akwesasne Notes and other First Nations organizations. Material selected as part of a pilot project to migrate and preserve sound recordings stored on 1/4" audio reels and audio cassettes. Digitized material represents approximately 20% of total archive. Digitization made possible, in whole or in part, through a 2013 Young Canada Works grant sponsored by the Department of Canadian Heritage, and ministered through the Canadian Council of Archives (CCA).
