Description
Summary:Interview / [Carol Thompson]. -- Interview / [?] Leaf. -- Interview / [Unidentified boy]. -- Interview / [Unidentified man and woman]. Item consists of audio recording of on the street interviews with Aboriginal youth of Cornwall Island regarding their experiences with discrimination at the hands of the police on the island. This is followed by an interview with an unidentified man and woman regarding the economic, environmental, and social problems with mass tree plantings, using Piper Townshp as a specific example. 2 tracks on stereo at 7 1/2 ips. Much of the file is diffcult to understand due to environmental feedback at the time of the recording. The interview on tree planting (from 00:36:21 onward) was reversed and speeded up by .75. This interview cuts off and is continued on ASC33121. Digitization possible in part through a Young Canada Works (YCW) program funded through the Department of Canadian Heritage and managed by the Canadian Council of Archives (CCA).
