Summary:This is a map of Quebec province in 1776 compiled from French surveys. It shows indigenous lands and associated First Nations groups, also settlements, lakes, rivers and boundaries. It includes large-scale insets of Montreal, Quebec City and part of St. Laurence River. "according to the Royal Proclamation, of the 7th of October 1763, from the French surveys connected with those made after the War, by Captain Carver, and other officers in His Majesty's service" Scale approximately 1:2,250,000. Relief shown pictorially and by hachures. Shows indigenous lands and associated First Nations groups, also settlements, lakes, rivers and boundaries.
