Description
Summary:This extremely detailed and ornate map shows the cities, Native American land, mountains, lakes, rivers, and European claims of North America. An inset map, separated by a floral border, rests at the top of the map, showing a closer view of the Mississippi as it drains into the Gulf of Mexico. Numerous illustrations of trees, Native Americans, towns, fortifications, animals, and ships appear throughout the map, as do notes on various settlements, tribes, and geographical features. Two insets sit at the bottom right, the top one showing a small map of Quebec city and the bottom an illustrative view of Quebec and the St. Lawrence River.
