Description
Summary:Alaskan Glacier Resumes Journey. Alaskan Glacier Resumes Journey CHITINA, Alaska, June 14.— (AP) — Black Rapids Glacier has started moving forward again at the rate of 100 to 200 feet a day, messages from a roadhouse near there said today. The spectacularly moving ice wall was nearing the Big Delta River. It has moved several miles Since last October when its normal recession stopped and a freakish forward movement started, apparently because the forward end of the glacier broke loose from its source and staterd down a canyon about the time of several earthquake shocks.
