Summary:Martin Itjen Plans To Draw Tourists' Cash. MARTIN ITJEN PLANS TO DRAW TOURISTS' CASH Skagway, Alaska, Jan. 30.—(/P)— Martin Itjen, sourdough "street car" operator who can't forget he kissed Mae West's hand two summers ago, has a new plaything. Itjen, he of the scrawling red moustache and high-pitched voice who is :llso the undertaker,- has bought the site of Soapy Smith's saloon. He has renovated the building and inside has installed model figures of the famed outlaw character and his gang. "That ought to fetch them tourists," he said today. Itjen, whose trip south "just to see Mae West" was a personal triumph, has wired the models, so that by buttons and switches they run. He took his "street car," an automobile on wheels, south with him. "See, Soapy greets you," Itjen said, pressing a button. The model bows. As a finale to their actions, Soapy fires a pistol twice and two dummy figures trying to escape through a back door fall over, "killed."
