Description
Summary:Whistling Buoy Is Betsy's Boy Friend. Whistling Buoy Is Betsy's Boy Friend KODIAK, Alaska, Jan. 17.— (U.P.)—Because Capt Leadbetter of the U. S. lighthouse tender Cedar installed a whistling buoy off the Kodiak Harbor, A. W. Bennett, Long Island fur farmer, threatened an "alienation" suit. The Bennett Jersey cow, he charged, instead of attending strictly to keeping the family supplied with milk, spent her time prancing up and down the beach, exchanging endearing "moos' with the supposed boy friend over Kodiak way. He could not make her understand it was only a buoy friend.
