Today there are 275 fur ranches operated in Alaska with blue fox farms totaling 150 of that number, according to a recent survey. Silver, black, cross and red fox are second with 42 farms. There are eight white fox farms, six marten, four muskrat and two beaver and one farm for fitch, one one for land otter.
