Seal Crews Ready to Start Annual Kill at Pribilof KETCHIKAN, Alaska, April 16. —(U.P.)—Protected, from poachers by the coast guard cutter Redwing, the annual migration of the seal herd to government breeding grounds at Pribilof islands was tinder way today. Within a few weeks the Pribilof group will be black with fur-bearing seals and thousands of young will be born at the government rookery. "Killer" stations have been established on St. Paul and St. George islands. About 200,000 seals are killed annually for valuable skins raid soal oil under terms of a treaty signed by the United States, Russia and Japan.
