Reindeer fairs are held annually. About 85 herds are maintained in western Alaska between Point Barrow andthe Aleutian islands. Soon the region along the government's railway and along the Kuskwokim is to be stocked. In June of 1916 the herds and profits had a value of $2,232,843.
