Bradford Washburn Jr., Harvard University geologist, and Robert Bates of Philadelphia scaled the precipitous heights of the lonely peak in Yukon Territory July 9, they announced here today by Until Washburn and Bates triumphed over the perilous summit. Mount Luciana was one of the last unsealed North American peaks.
